Nice solid little set of calipers. Well made and good weight. Nothing cheep feeling about these, happy with my purchase, would recommend.
Just as the description says- this adapts an older Super Polaris mount to accept dovetail based telescopes and gear. It is solidly built but does *not* include the m6 thumbscrews that (in my case) fasten down to the Vixen saddle. It's built like heavy armor (1 lb. solid), so account for that weight. Delivery was smooth and quick. I would (and have ordered from Idea Engineering again).
Now finally had a real chance to try it out, weather has been lousy here in Sydney, works great and is surprisingly accurate on my telescope. Lots of Sunspot activity to view. Makes aligning with the Sun a snap. Great product

If your looking for this kind of adapter look no further. Hard to find anyway ! Extremely well made and thoughtful design. Ive read answers on astro form posts from a couple users looking to do what this type of adapter does that "you don't want to do that because a finder or guide scope is to heavy for hot shoe plate"... omg... don't they know how heavy pro photo flash bulbs and housings can get ?? That being said there is typically some small amount of movement in hot shoe plates. this can be addressed like the designer says by toothpicks wedged in but I found this to not quite do the trick. I used the tooth pick to apply a couple of drops of thick quick dry epoxy to the corners of the hot shoe ... yes you get a couple of mm size drops on your dslr around the corners of the plate... if you just cant handle this prospect Im sure you can figure out a wedge method.
I received exactly what was advertised and the shipping was very fast. Very happy with my purchase from this seller and how well the transaction was handled. I will be looking for other deals from this seller. Thank you.
Nice tool. Arrived in perfect new condition. Needed metric and imperial measurements, and this is one of the few that have them in analog format.
Item as described, fast shipping, well packed, excellent seller, thank you!
Lightning fast shipping and wonderful product!
